VICTIM SUPPORT UK

Any resident of the United Kingdom who has been affected by crime, whether as a victim or as a witness can call Victim Support for advice, help and assistance. Victim Support is a charity and its services are free and available to everyone, even if the crime has not been reported to the police and regardless of when the crime took place.

Victim Support helps more than a million people every year and they have branches staffed by knowledgeable and experienced volunteers throughout the United Kingdom. Victim Support is completely independent of the police or courts. It offers individuals an opportunity to speak confidentially with a trained volunteer regarding police and court procedures, criminal injury claims and applications for insurance payments. Victim Support can also connect you to other sources of information.

In order to reach Victim Support, you can phone them on 020 7735 9166. Their national headquarters is located at Cranmer House, 39 Brixton Road, London. If the crime has been reported to the police you can ask them to contact Victim Support on your behalf.

Free Legal Advice

If you have been a victim of violent crime and have suffered physical or psychological injury, we can help you to apply for an award from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. Our solicitors take cases on a no win no fee basis which means that you pay absolutely nothing if your claim is unsuccessful. There are no upfront costs and you are not responsible for funding the claims process. If you need legal advice just complete the contact form or use the helpline to speak to an experienced solicitor who is a member of the Law Society panel of personal injury experts, without charge and without further obligation.
